CG Lighting work thorughout the years
Year 1
Game 201-02
In my first semester, Game 201-02 not only taught me the basics of Maya's modeling and texturing but the importance of lighting through recreating a scene based off reference.
Year 4
ANIM 373B-01
During my final semester at Columbia College Chicago I took ANIM 373B-01 where I learned to how to properly render lighting in Maya with Arnold.
Year 4
Anim 450: Animation Production studio
In my final year, I would go on to participate on the production of a animated film called Override. Throughout this production process I would take on numerous responsibilities varying from the Environment Coordinator to a CG Lighter. Being a CG Lighter would have its own challenges, as lighting production relied on a Maya to Blender workflow. A process that was uncharted territory for me as I was primarily a Maya user.
